Ear cleaning
Dogs ears: If there is fluid discharge, bad odor, or blood coming from your dog's ear or ears, your pet should be treated by a veterinarian as soon as possible. If your dog's ears get a buildup of wax and dirt, their ears should be cleaned on a weekly basis to keep them healthy. Here's an inexpensive solution to make up at home, for general cleaning of normal ears: Mix equal parts of Cider vinegar and (isopropyl or rubbing alcohol). Soak a cotton ball in the solution and squeeze out excess until cotton ball is just damp. Gently clean out ears, going as far into the ear canal as possible. Change cotton balls often and repeat steps until cotton ball comes out clean. The isopropyl alcohol disinfects the ear and the Cider vinegar restores the PH balance of the ear. |
